Reviews Overview

Most Liked

Diners rave about the genuine hospitality at Galicia. The attentive and humorous staff make every visit memorable, often going the extra mile to ensure guests feel welcome.

The tapas selection shines, with favorites like the spicy prawns and classic paella drawing rave reviews from returning patrons. Reviews praise the generous portion sizes, often leaving diners with satisfying takeaway bags for later. The vibrant atmosphere complements the well-thought-out menu, making it a hotspot for casual dining.

Beer lovers appreciate the impressive range of beverages available, including Estrella Galicia on tap. The dessert menu also garners acclaim, revealing an unexpected sweet side to the tapas bar.

Lastly, the spacious layout accommodates larger groups comfortably, making it a popular choice for gatherings.

Most Disliked

While Galicia generally receives positive feedback, there are a few common points of contention. Reservations for prime dining times are highly recommended, as the restaurant can fill up quickly, particularly on weekends. Without prior booking, you might face long waits.

Although the service is often praised for its friendliness, peak hours can lead to slower response times, which might affect the dining experience for those eager to enjoy their meal.

Some visitors express disappointments regarding the limited wine options when particular selections are out of stock. It can be frustrating to find a preferred drink unavailable.

Lastly, while the vibrant atmosphere is a draw, the noise level can rise during busy periods, occasionally making conversation challenging.

Visited Galacia on Wednesday with a couple of friends. My first visit but one of group has visited often. The food was lovely and good portion sizes. Had to take home a doggy bag as our eyes were bigger than our bellies! Only grabbed a couple of photos as we were too busy shoveling food into our faces. The staff were attentive, good natured and funny. Would definitely visit again and try some of the other dishes.

Such a great restaurant! I've been here a few times and have never been disappointed. It’s best to book in advance, as it can get quite busy. The food is delicious, and desserts too 😋 and the service is outstanding, shout out to Lidia, she’s amazing! I’ve been in London for 12 years and this is the first time I’ve experienced such professional service. Plus, they have Estrella Galicia on tap!

A lovely place visited for the works Christmas dinner. A good selection of both festive and non festive menus available. A number of the group decided on steak which appeared well cooked and of a large quantity. I opted for traditional roast turkey which came with all the expected trimmings. Pudding were large and flavoursome and staff were polite, attentive and friendly. The restaurant is large in size and can cater for larger groups. Overall a very enjoyable experience

Have lived in Croydon for over 14yrs, always telling myself to come here, so glad I finally did! Very much a family run restaurant (it feels) so you're warmly welcomed. Menu is huge, some great tapas and house specials to choose from (particularly recommend the mushrooms stuffed with spinach and garlic). Wine selection was good too. We didn't know our Spanish wines very well so the team there can help you choose. By 7.30pm the restaurant was easily 60-70% full and the buzz makes it a great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Went here with my partner for a catch up with friends (another couple) and had so much fun! Staff were a great laugh and kept us entertained. Lots of atmosphere despite it being quiet. Food and drinks were brilliant! It’s really big too so great for groups.
